CRA Raises the Bar on Aluminum Construction Standards
Florida West Coast, September 2010: Tom Teffenhart, owner of Commercial Residential Aluminum (CRA) located in North Venice, FL just received a patent for his most recent invention, the “Channel Lock Self Mating Beam or Channel Lock SMB”. This interlocking beam has heightened the bar in terms of aluminum construction and hopes to create a new standard for safety and longevity against natural disaster and everyday wear and tear of all pool cages, lanais and other aluminum structures. CRA is now working with national builders along the West Coast of Florida and is looking to increase awareness of the “Channel Lock SMB” through various educational campaigns.
“Florida pool cages have needed products like the Channel Lock SMB, built to industry code standards, to ensure safety and increase quality. We’re able to promote that we have the best product in the market now and we proudly support our owner,” says Natalie Lane, Director of Sales & Marketing of CRA.
The “Channel Lock SMB” has been extensively reviewed by several engineers and has been noted that “it could very well be the strongest beam in terms of design ever made.”
Lane states that a list of specially selected vendors for the “Channel Lock SMB” will be published by the end of 2010. The “Channel Lock SMB” will require less material and will lower the cost of building pool cages and screen enclosures.
